M111 Round pinholes 2.5 cm in diameter. Enlarged and digitally positive 106 cm diameter, 2018. The idea is to seek a way to present a work around various small pinholes performed in the streets. These pinhole cameras are the photographic results taken in small dark rooms made from boxes of photographic film. Among this lot, several were failed : Misfires in which no form of description emerges from the image. There is no action on my part, I am not the operator, simply the watcher. The clicking time does not exist here, only that of creative nature. To take a picture in this way needs patience. The image takes at least ten minutes before it is captured for prosperity. It is these long exposures, there is something wonderful. In the process of being born, it is a photo-gestation. It is by scanning all the tests to put them in positive that something startling was revealed. I discovered in one of them an unknown nebula. Later, I decided to enlarge it to reveal its details. The choice of the title comes from this discovery : a fictitious continuity of the catalog of Charles Messier, an 18th century French astronomer. So I saw a sensitive form of an interstellar medium at my scale. By enlarging these images and through this nebula, it also brought me back to the idea of capturing the universe.
